What is the difference between proofreading and editing?
Editing improves structure, clarity and flow. Proofreading is the final check for errors once editing is done. If your book still needs editing, we'll tell you honestly on your free sample.
How long does proofreading take?
Most books are proofread in 1–2 weeks, depending on length. Faster timelines are available.
Will you change my writing style?
No. Proofreaders only correct errors such as spelling, grammar, punctuation and consistency. Your voice stays exactly as it is.
Can you proofread my formatted PDF?
Yes. We can proofread your print-ready PDF and mark corrections for your designer, or fix them ourselves if we formatted your book.
Which style guide do you follow?
We follow the Chicago Manual of Style, the standard for U.S. book publishing, unless you prefer another guide.
How much does proofreading cost?
